Ethiopia Girma Eshetu
The 2017 crop of our Ethiopia Girma Eshetu has arrived and we are delighted!
When we first brought this coffee in last year it quickly became one of our favorites. We liked the 2016 crop so much we were actually a little cautiously optimistic when we got a sample of the new crop for cupping, trying to prepare ourselves in case the 2017 beans didn't live up to their predecessors. We were blown away. Somehow it came in even better.
Boasting more complex and varied fruit notes and a thoroughly delectable body, this coffee is an intriguing departure from what one might expect of a coffee from this region. This is a coffee that instantly gratifies and at the same time invites a studied meditation on it's more subtle charms.
I'm not just blowing smoke, this coffee is legit.
